It's time for some teasing...the January Kit will be available December 15th and I can tell you it will totally full of beautiful things! Beginning with the January Kit we will also have some different bits and pieces available in smaller Kits that may or may not coordinate with the monthly Kit but that are cool and hip products. Thank you to everyone that applied! The entries were all of very high standard and that made the selection process very difficult. In the end I chose more girls then originally planned but for everyone that missed out this time...I will regularly give new girls the chance to be part of the DT team.

If you were reading my last post you know about our passport troubles at the airport. Well, after spending most of Tuesday at the Passport office and having to get copies of several other documents (like birth certificates) we had 2 brand new Passports in our hands at 5.30pm. The flight was at 9pm, it was touch and go all day whether we would get there. And I'm glad we made it, it was a fantastic trip! We are now back to reality, like cooking, cleaning and washing :(( If you ever happen to plan a trip check out this resort

Catching up...

I can't believe my last post was a month ago! It is amazing how quick time flies and just how busy we are at the moment. Last month we were heading off to the snow and I must say it was fantastic! I was really worried the kids wouldn't like it and chuck a wobbly after the first day but it really was a great family holiday. Romy and Max were skiing all over the mountain with us after 4 days. It just shows how quickly kids learn new skills. Coming back from the snow I had about 5 days to catch up on work and then I was off again to Germany, this time on my own. Catching up with family is so important to me and I try to fly home once a year. Saying goodbye wasn't so bad this time either since I knew mum and dad are coming to Australia in January. Not long to go:) While I was in Germany Steve took the kids to Ayers Rock and Alice Springs to visit his sister. What an adventure for the kids!!
On his way back Steve missed his flight and had to pay a fortune to get him and the kids home on another flight. And this is where our misfortune in terms of travelling started! On Wednesday I got back from Germany and Steve said "Guess what...? We are going to Thailand on Monday!" Right, not exactly what I want to hear when I just got of a plane travelling for the last 24 hours! But today we were on our way to the Airport again. And guess what...Romy's passport had expired! So home we went again since there was nothing we could do on a Public Holiday. Tomorrow we are off to get her passport renewed and hopefully we will then catch our re-booked flight at 9pm. Wish us luck!

Off to the snow...

...we are off to the snow in a couple of hours! The kids are totally excited to see snow for the first time. I really hope they like it! I have nightmares thinking about..."Mum, I'm cold! Mum I'm wet! Mum I'm tired!"... all of this in a whining voice. I have to be positive and think about all the great photos I will be taking :))

I'm loving all the challenges that are around at the moment and had a go at the current

I have certainly not been showing this blog much love lately. Life has just been too busy, trade shows, school holidays, kids birthdays...the list goes on. BUT last night I scrapped a LO just for fun and it felt really good. The

Brisbane...

We are back from Brisbane where my husband and I had a stand at the Scrapbook Expo over the long weekend. Yes, I made him work selling scrapbooking 'stuff' :) He didn't mind it too much though. It really was an experience. Never would I have thought how many hours of preparing and setting up go into a show like this. And there will not be much recovery time either with the Sydney Craft & Quilt Fair starting soon. But it is fun too meeting so many people. When we got home yesterday I went straight to the computer changing the site over for the

July Kit.

Here it is...Fancy Pants, Melissa Frances and Sweetwater paper, Bling cardstock and a Hambly Border overlay. And let's not forget the Embossed Chipboard from My Minds Eye.

Sneaks...

Yes I have early sneaks this month:) One of the reasons is that I will be away from the 8th - 14th in Brisbane. Please come and say hello if you are going to the Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo on the June long weekend. I will be at Stand 32.

We are going a little purple with some Fancy Pants, Queen &Co and the new Bohemia embossed chipboard from MME. The rest will have to be a surprise!

June Sneaks :)

I've been MIA the past week treating myself to a break at the Golden Door Health Retreat in the Hunter Valley. I've been sleeping, eating and exercising for a whole week with no one to look after but myself. I could get used to this :))

On to other things...Kiwiscraps was so much fun last weekend. I can truly say that I enjoyed every single class! I will post some pics soon when I get a chance to take some photos of the projects. The fun continued well into the night for some people and I'm still deliberating what an appropriate amount would be to offer to have some pictures disappear. Fee, can you help :) ??

On to other news...I'm officially a soccer mum now. Max started playing for the first time last week and is having a great time. Pics will follow soon :) On Sunday you can find me at the Galston Oval watching my son chase a ball...lol What a way to spend the day:)

Bugs

I'm experiencing the first few side effects of having a child at school. Tummy bugs :)) Not nice! Romy slept from 4.30pm yesterday until 7.30am today and has hardly been away from the toilet since.
Otherwise life has been busy packing kits in the last couple of days. The AddOn Kit is nearly sold out, I've only got a couple left. Designing Memories

is a new and exciting monthly Australian Kit site looking for Guest Designers! Each month we showcase a Guest Designer on our

website

and we are now looking for fresh - new or established- talent to be our guest designers for June 2007 and July 2007.

As a Designing Memories Guest Designer you will receive the Main Kit for the month and an equally fabulous Add-On Kit. We would expect at least a couple of layouts created with the Kits ready to publish in our Gallery or to be used in our continuing promotion. As a bonus for being part of our creative team, if selected you will also be receiving one of our past months Mini-Kits just for you to play with.

To be considered, please submit 2 current Layouts to katja@designingmemories.com.au by the 25th of March… We will be picking one Australian and one international Artist to be designing and presenting the Kits for either the month of June or July. Your work will be featured in our Gallery and then made available for viewing in our Archive Gallery with previous Guest Designers work.
