I have a digital LO in there and you should be able to download the matching layered template from their website to create your own page. If you're having problems with the downloading of the template just send me an e-mail (katja@designingmemories.com.au) and I will be happy to send you the zip file. Enjoy your week!

And another one...

...also from the December Kit!

December Kit

Once again a long time between posts! Same story, different time:) There is a lot happening at the moment at our house. Our beautiful dog 'Cooper' was hit by a car a few days ago and just came home today. I'm being a nurse at the moment with open wounds that have drainage in them etc. I don't want to get into detail but it really is not a pretty sight! His tail will possibly have to be amputated and the Vet is not sure if they have to take part of the skin on his leg off as it seems to be dying (it is actually black). On to better news...tomorrow my parents will arrive from Germany to stay with us for 3 weeks. I look forward to spending some time with mum and dad. The kids have been counting down the days too.
The December Kit is up now on the
  • website
  • and I hope you like all the fun bits this month! Here are a couple of samples created with the Kit and you can also find some more inspiration in the
  • Gallery.

    October Kit

I always find myself behind with things I like to do and one of them is maintaining my blog. There always seems to something else that has to be done first. But I have a couple of LO's to share this time from the new
  • October Kit.

  • The Kit is perfect for Spring with it's soft colours. I hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather :)

The new September Kit is now up @
  • Designing Memories.

  • There are some very subtle blues and greens and a splash of brown in the Kit.
I've had a chance this month to play with the Mini kit that is great for all of you with little boys...
Blogger is not playing along tonight and will not let me upload the image so you will have to go the website and have a look in the Gallery :)
Hope to see some of you at the Stitches and Craft Show this week in Sydney!

I am doing a course at the moment that I've been meaning to do for a long time. Digi in Deep is an advanced Digital Scrapbooking Course by
  • Jessica Sprague.
  • It is very time consuming but I'm learning so much at the moment and all the course contents will be accessible for ever which is great when I need to refresh my memory on some techniques. This is the LO from the first lesson of the course and the second LO is a practice of some the techniques learned...

What products did you get excited about from CHA Summer? For me there were quite a few favourites...

    Giant Roller Doodles

Digi Templates (yes occasionally I go over to the dark side :)

If you like the look of these go to
  • Memories2Remember
  • and watch out for some more great things to come like Pink Paislee, Fancy Pants and Prima.

    Have a good week!

School holidays are over and once again we are rushing around in the mornings, some things don't change :)
Steve went on a trail bike ride during the holidays somewhere up in the desert and managed to fracture his ankle and tear some ligaments in his knee as well as get a 10 cm long blood clot in his calf. He had to ride his bike with a broken ankle for 300km's to the next medical station. Ouch!! The last few days were spent at doctors and hospitals getting xRays and MRI's done. Tomorrow he will get operated on to put some screws in his ankle. I'm almost a qualified nurse by now :)
To cheer myself up I have booked myself into a
  • digital course by Jessica Sprague
  • that I wanted to do for a long time. Think I will get the time? I will take the time! Looking really forward to learning some new stuff.
    Also the new
  • August Kit
  • is up on the site now.
And if you like the look of these new Chatterbox products go

    Another share...

I thought I would share another LO that I did for a 'For Keeps' assignment a little while back. I'm not sure which issue it was in.
The kids are on school holidays at the moment and we are enjoying the sleep ins and not rushing around. I've been scrapping quite a bit in the last couple of weeks but nothing that I can share just yet :)
I hope you're all enjoy the school holidays!

    Cold

It's getting too cold for me at this time of year. Anything under 20 Degrees is too cold in my opinion. And Winter has only just started. Everything seems a littler harder in winter...getting out of bed in the mornings, more clothes to put on the kids, the flu going around at school. One thing seems to be more fun though...locking myself into my scrapbooking room and creating. And I have been doing quite a bit of that lately :)
Here are some images from some classes I have been teaching recently at the Newcastle Craft & Quilt Fair and at the Melbourne and Brisbane Stitches and Craft Shows.

And the last one was in a recent publication of 'For Keeps'. Have a good week!!

    Computer trouble

Well...I was trying to upload the July Kit tonight without much luck. I'm not sure where exactly the problem is but it seems I can't log into the program that allows me to change the site over. I will now have to wait until Monday to contact the people that host my site. I will still show you what the Kit looks like though :)

    Sharing

I've had a little time on my hands last week and enjoyed playing with some digital elements and some new Fancy Pants products. I'm combining the digital and physical products a lot these days. It is great to get a LO done in Photoshop and then finish it off with some embellishments. I don't have a large printer either, I'm printing my pages out in 2 parts and then connecting them in the least visible spot. So here are the digi versions and the hybrid version with some physical elements added to it. The LO is based on sketch 77 from the
  • Pencillines Blog.

  • And another LO just for fun with some new
  • Fancy Pants rub-ons
  • and
  • October Afternoon papers.

    Flu

I've just had the worst flu over Easter. Spent most of the time in bed, which would have been good if I had the energy to at least watch a movie and eat chocolate. But most of the time I waited for the cold and flu med to perform some kind of miracle. Anyhow, I'm better now and even have a LO to share that I did just for me using some of the new Fancy Pants papers and a Glitter Cut. Have you seen the new Glitter Cuts? They are absolutely adorable. You can see all of them
  • here.

    Thank you

...to everyone that left me a message after my last post. We will remember little Tom and thanks to my passion for scrapbooking we will always have some pics and LO's to remember him by:) These are the times when I'm especially grateful for this hobby because it makes me document the important things.

I received some great news the other day. You can read about it...
  • here
  • .
I would have loved to be in the other group but there is always a next time. I totally adore Prima products and will keep on trying :)

Last weekend I went to the Newcastle Craft & Quilt Fair and I must say the organizers did a fantastic job advertising the Fair. It was packed all three days. I shared a stand with Jo and Annette from
  • Memories2Remember
  • and we were really pleased with the amount of people that turned up. We are off again on Monday to the Melbourne Stitches and Craft Show. Come and see us if you live in the area...we will be teaching Hands On workshops like this one every day.

    A sad day...

...and I'm not sure how to tell the kids yet. As I was reversing the car in the driveway I could feel rolling over something and the next few minutes are just a blur. I remember things happening almost in slow motion. There was blood everywhere. Our little kitten that was only 3 months old met a very quick end but in my mind it seemed to last forever. To say I was upset would be an understatement. Max had taken a shine to Tiger Tom and I dread having to tell him that he will not be coming back.

    MIA

Yes, once again all good intentions of blogging more regularly have fallen by the wayside. There seems to be always something more important to do then keeping this online diary. Life is very fast at the moment. Maybe things will slow down a bit once the kids go back to school. Unfortunately I don't have grandparents nearby to take the kids in school holidays for a day so I can get things done. I remember spending 2 or 3 weeks at a time with my grandparents when I was a child and I have such great memories from this time. My kids seem to miss out on this experience somewhat.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at One Mile Beach with 7 kids (not all ours...three different families:). They all had a ball!

    The
  • February Kit
  • is up and nearly sold out already even with the amount of Kits increased this month. Don't miss the
  • Gallery,
  • there is so much eye candy from the talented DT again!
Here are a couple of LO's.
